Shower?
Several people have asked me lately if I'm having a baby shower and several others have offered to throw me one. Thank you! However, since we're having another girl around the same time of year, there isn't too much we need. There are a few things that were either worn out by Adelle or we didn't have. If you're dying to buy us/Evie something, I do have a small registry at Target full of things that would be nice to have.
Moving on...
It was actually not crazy cold out today! So Adelle and I went for a walk and then to the park. I'm hoping it will continue to warm up so that I can get out for more walks. Maybe this will help curb the end-of-pregnancy insane weight gain. Maybe?
A quick funny story. Yesterday morning at church, our pastor was joking to the women that guys always mean to say the right thing, but sometimes it just doesn't come out right. Jamie, I assume, feeling the need to prove this point made this goof last night. Jamie and I were sitting on the couch. I told him how much I appreciate him telling me he thinks I look cute because I defintiely don't feel cute anymore. I shared my concerns about feeling like a big ol' fatty and "what in the world am I going to look like after Evie's born???". His response - "You won't look any worse". Nice. Thanks for that. Of course, I laughed because I knew that's not what he meant to communicate. After we both cracked up for a bit, he rephrased it to say that I would look just as great as I did before. Awww.... thanks, Jamie. ![]()

Oy.
There's really not too much more to say about it than that. Scary thought: I still have 6-8 weeks to go.

Family Pics
I love having nice pictures done of our family when I'm pregnant. I just think it's so cool. Here are the ones we got. I especially love the picture of Adelle and Evie together.

Woo hoo!!!
I just got back from the midwife and everything is great. I didn't gain any weight these last two weeks (which after last visit's 7-pound gain, was a HUGE relief). Evie's in a good head down position, which I already knew because I can feel her fists in my hips, her feet in my ribs, and her butt sticking out right under my rib cage... she really likes to push that tushy out. All in all, things are good. Yay!Sunday, 23 March 2008
It only took 34 weeks.
Well, my morning sickness is finally gone. Can you believe it? Ha ha ha. Now if it weren't for the inability to get comfortable, get a full night's sleep, or the complete lack of energy, I'd feel great!
The last few months of pregnancy definitely serve a few good purposes. 1- they make you ready to actually have a baby. The more miserable you get, the more the idea of having the baby sounds good. 2- the less sleep you get, the more prepared you are to have said new baby. God is smart, huh?
The down side of this preparation? It has started affecting poor Jamie. He slept on the couch last night because I kept him up tossing and turning the last few nights before. I guess God is trying to prepare him for life with a newborn again, too.

SMACK!
Do you know what that sound is? It's me. Hitting a wall. I'm usually very good at just pushing through them, but this one won't budge.
I just can't seem to keep up with the normal pace of my life anymore which is not only a huge frustration for me, but a huge struggle, too. It's not like I have any less that I have to do. So I'm trying to figure out how to get it all done and not end up like I did yesterday afternoon.
Yesterday was our usual Wednesday. Take Jamie to work on our way to story time at the library. Go to Target. Eat at Chick-Fil-A for a fun Mommy-Daughter lunch date. Go grocery shopping. Return home. Normally this is no problem. However, by the time I got Adelle in her bed for naptime, I was in serious pain and exhausted. I could not get up off the couch the entire afternoon. Seriously. And then I wake up this morning at nearly 9:00 (YIKES!!!!) and can't move. I know I'm really pregnant and all that and I won't be able to keep up this pace after Evie is born either, but man... I wasn't expecting this.
We have kinship tonight which means I have to spend the morning cleaning the house. Where will I dig up the energy for this?
If family lived closer, Adelle would be spending mornings with them. Seriously. Thankfully, Mary lives close by and Adelle and Carmen have been dying to play together. Mary, who is too awesome, told me to have Jamie drop Adelle off on his way to work this morning. So. That's one less thing to keep up with this morning. Thank you, thank you!
I did see the midwife on Tuesday. Nothing new. Gained a few pounds, Evie is still head down and big, good heartbeat.
I'm off to scrub toilets. Fun times.

Make your choices!!!A lot of people (my husband and myself included) have started making predictions on Evangeline's arrival. I thought it would be fun to make it official and see what everyone else thinks, so please go to our online pool and enter your guesses, too!
