Adelle - August 2008

Monday, 11 August 2008

My oh my! It was a fun trip!

We had a great time in VA visiting family. We also had a great time visiting Rodg and Ang in Chapel Hill. The highlight for Adelle was Dora, their black lab. Fun times. Here are a few pics. There are a zillion more on our album.

Who taught her to pose like this? I asked her if I could take her picture and this is what she does. It does look a lot like a Solid Gold Dancer pose... oh yes, she is her mother's daughter.

She learned to swing from the bar.

And she tried really hard to climb the tree.

Sorry for the silence. August 2008 is going on record as the busiest month so far this year. I just can't seem to find any time to slow down yet.

Here is Adelle's latest interest - big girl puzzles. I amazed at how quickly she learns how to do these.

She also loves playing with her sister... well, at least her sister's toys! Ha ha ha.

And finally here is a video I've been trying to get around to putting up for almost a month now. Carmen and Adelle playing ring around the rosie. Too cute.

spatula goodness

I guess in Adelle's mind, if it's on a spatula, it must be good stuff. Which is why she asked me if she could lick the spatula from the potato salad yesterday morning. Ew. She loved it, though, so whatever. Ha ha ha.

She also asked to hold Evie yesterday (which almost never happens... too busy doing her own thing). So I took advantage of the situation and got a couple of cute pictures. Evie's getting so big that soon she won't fit in Adelle's lap anymore!

She really does love her, even if she's not always sure what to do with her.

I don't know why she thought it would be funny to lick her ear, but whatever... it's a funny picture. The look on Evie's face... priceless!

"Look, Mommy. We're holding hands!"
