Adelle is just doing new things left and right. She has finally mastered rolling over onto her tummy. In fact, we find her stuck that way pretty often in the morning when we go get her up. She'll have to figure out how to roll back the other way soon because she gets frustrated by being stuck on her tummy. She's also sitting up in her bouncy seat and trying to sit on her own.

She was so funny last night. I just looked at her and said 'blah' last night and she totally cracked up. So the next fifteen minutes was filled with me saying 'blah' to her and her cracking up. I think it was the longest and hardest she's ever laughed. Jamie and I were totally cracking up, too. She's just so fun these days!

We're almost done with our big trip. Today we head to Virginia where we'll stay for the week and then head home. Adelle has done soooooo well on this trip.

We head home today. We've had a great trip, but are excited to get back to Philly. Not because we are ready to be done with our vacation or get back to work, but because once we get home, we are one step closer to moving in to our own home!!! Only a few weeks. It's so exciting!

I've got tons of new pictures on our camera. I'll put them up in the next day or so, once we get settled back home.

Adelle is five months old today! YAY!!! The last two months have just flow by!

Adelle is now so tall that anything that is an all-in-one (onesie, romper, sleeper) has to be a 6-9 months to fit her. Yikes! So I went out and bought her some new bodysuits today - she needed long sleeved ones anyway. The weather is already too cool to wear short sleeves.

She is doing really well with sitting on her own and needs very little support now. We usually sit her in her boppy for just a little help.

Although it is a little early, I started doing some signing with her today. I figure the longer she sees them, maybe the better they'll sink in. Maybe, maybe not. If nothing else, it's fun! I'm starting with 'eat', 'more', 'all done', 'diaper', and 'thank you'.

Other than that, we're just anticipating our new house. Only two weeks until we close!!!

Adelle and I went to visit Hillary and Owen on Monday. We had so much fun. Owen is such a fun little guy! And he's so sweet, too. If Adelle droppd her toy, he'd come over and pick it up for her. And while she was sitting in the bouncy seat, he came over, stood behind her, and bounced the seat for her. So cute!

Okay, so Adelle just figured out she can stick out her tongue today. It's so funny! She started trying to razz with it out and ended up just making lots of funny faces and noises. She's such a delight!

It was our 5th anniversary yesterday. Jamie and I went out to dinner at a really fun Italian place. I even got all dressed up! Hey, these days, I have to take advantage of opportunities to sport anything besides jeans and a baby food/puke stained t-shirt.


Adelle stayed with a friend of ours and as predicted, refused to eat. Sigh. She even does this with Jamie sometimes. She gets so tired and so irritated before bed that if anyone but me, and occasionally Jamie, feeds her, she just goes into tantrum mode. So, Sharon responded appropriately - she laughed and put her to bed! What a silly baby girl we have. I do love her so. Who knew that 5 month olds threw tanturms? They do! But no one tells you that. Here I was naively thinking they didn't start until later. Silly mommy.

She's been a little cranky lately anyway because her first tooth is finally starting to come in. She has a little bump on her lower gum that is getting bigger everyday. Her best friend is her frozen teething ring these days. She gets so excited when she sees it coming! Ha ha ha.

We're off to the mall with Mary and Carmen today. Adelle is getting her free pair of earrings from the place she got her ears periced and Carmen will be getting her little ears peirced today. I'll have to bring the camera and get pictures of the earring girls together! Having a little girl is SO FUN! WEEEE!!!

We had fun with Mary and Carmen yesterday. Carmen did get her ears pierced, and they look so cute! The funniest thing about yesterday? We set Carmen and Adelle next to each other on the couch for pictures and Carmen reaches over and puts her thumb in Adelle's mouth and Adelle started sucking Carmen's thumb! Ha ha ha. Babies are too funny.

Adelle is just babbling away right now. She's mastered "mama", though it means nothing to her right now. But's it's cute. We're working on "baba" now (French for 'dada').

I bought Adelle some teething biscuits yesterday, which she LOVES! But man are they messy. Ha ha ha.


Her little teeth are definitely giving her trouble these days. They keep waking her up at night. Poor thing. It's got to hurt.

TWO MORE DAYS til we close on our house!!! We can't wait!
