The past few weeks
Mental note: If you feed her chili, she will have a Fred Flinstone five o'clock shadow.
She is a busy little thing these days. Jamie and I both forgot just how exhausting chasing down a baby on the go can be! She is crawling, pulling up, cruising... basically not far from walking at all.
She has also started clapping and playing peek-a-boo. FUN! I have video and will try to get that up soon!

Fun!
Today we took the girls to their first tea. Really it was for Adelle since Evie won't remember, but it was her first, too. She liked the food, was indifferent about the hat, and LOVED riding on Gramps' shoulders at the playground afterward.

jabber
Evie 'talks' a lot these days. I swear she has said both 'hi' and 'yay', but it's hard to tell if it was just a fluke or not.She loves to follow Adelle around. They've actually made it into a game. Adelle will get on to the floor and crawl away telling Evie to come chase her. Evie happily obliges.
Evie also wants to play with anything that is Adelle's. Even though Evie has her own glow worm, she always wants Adelle's. The girls share everything bu blankies and 'friends' (stuffed animals and toys they love/sleep with), so Evie will just have to stick with her own glow worm since Adelle will not sleep without hers at night.

Doctor Visit
Evie had her nine month well visit today. We liked the new pediatrician and, as usual, Evie is going great. Perfectly healthy. She did have to have blood work done today and another flu shot
. Poor thing. She now weighs 20 lbs 6 oz (average, if not a little slim for her height) and is 30 inches tall (off the charts!).
She now (FINALLY) says mama. She did it about four or five months ago for a few days and hadn't said it since until a few days ago. She also waves and claps when we say "yay" or "patty cake". Sometimes she'll humor us with a "SO BIG!" She's big, big fun and wants anything Adelle has. ![]()
